What each monitor in the VEO range offers
All three monitors share the essentials: Fermax's DUOX Plus technology (two non-polarised wires), colour image, door release and a design that fits any hallway. The differences lie in screen size, how you talk and connectivity:

If you want to know everything the app can do, we cover it in our Fermax Blue video intercom guide.
Which one suits you best
After hundreds of installations across Valencia, these are the criteria we usually apply when recommending one or the other:
- For elderly people → VEO XL. The 7" screen makes all the difference: you can see perfectly who's calling without leaning in, the buttons are clear and the audio is powerful. It's the one we install most often in parents' and grandparents' homes.
- For small flats or tight hallways → VEO XS. Its ultra-slim profile barely protrudes from the wall, and hands-free operation means no cables or handsets dangling.
- For answering from your phone → the WiFi versions. VEO XS WiFi or VEO XL WiFi with the Fermax Blue app: essential for second homes, holiday lets or if you spend long hours away.
- For those who prefer the familiar → VEO with handset. Some people simply feel more comfortable picking up: the classic VEO offers the traditional door-phone experience with the added benefit of an image.
- For communities upgrading together → mix and match per flat. One advantage of DUOX Plus: each neighbour can choose their own monitor (VEO, XS or XL) on the same shared installation.
Installation, compatibility and guide prices
Installing a VEO monitor in a building that already runs DUOX Plus is quick: the terminal is replaced, the flat is programmed and that's it — usually in a single visit. If your building has an older system (analogue 4+N or VDS), each case needs assessing: sometimes a compatible monitor exists, and other times it makes more sense to convert to DUOX Plus reusing the wiring. If you're not sure which system you have, start with our guide on replacing your intercom with a video intercom.
