What you need before you start: Fermax Blue requirements
Before downloading anything, check that your installation meets the requirements. Most of the calls we get in Valencia about "the app not working" come down to one of these four points being missed:
- Compatible monitor: you need a monitor with built-in WiFi, such as the VEO XS WiFi or the VEO XL WiFi (DUOX Plus system). Older handsets and monitors without WiFi cannot be linked.
- 2.4 GHz WiFi network: the monitor only connects to the 2.4 GHz band. If your router broadcasts on 5 GHz only, you'll need to enable the 2.4 GHz band in its settings.
- WiFi coverage next to the monitor: the monitor usually sits in the hallway, sometimes far from the router. Without a good signal at that spot, calls will arrive late or not at all.
- Fermax Blue account: created free of charge from the app itself with your email address; remember to verify it via the confirmation email.
Pairing the monitor with the app step by step
With the requirements covered, pairing takes about ten minutes. Follow this order and don't skip any step:
- 1. Download the app: search for "Fermax Blue. You're at home!" in the App Store or Google Play and install it on your phone.
- 2. Create your account: sign up with your email, accept the terms and confirm the account via the verification email.
- 3. Connect the monitor to WiFi: open the monitor's settings menu, select your 2.4 GHz network and enter the password.
- 4. Scan the QR code: in the app, tap "Pair home" and scan the QR code shown on the monitor's screen (or on its label, depending on the model).
- 5. Enable call forwarding: check that forwarding to your phone is switched on both on the monitor and in the app.
- 6. Run a real test: ask someone to call from the street panel and confirm the call reaches your phone with image and sound.
Common errors when setting up Fermax Blue (and how to fix them)
These are the faults we see most often when a customer in Valencia calls us because "the app isn't working". Almost all of them have a quick fix:

The most common cause is that call forwarding is switched off on the monitor or in the app. It's also worth checking that the monitor has a good WiFi signal, that the app has notification permissions on your phone, and that the phone's battery-saving mode isn't closing the app in the background.
